David Solid Gould and the Temple Rockers (formerly Adonai and I) will be performing their eclectic blend of roots reggae music and traditional Hebrew melodies.
The evening will mark the second night of Chanukah as well as a celebration of the release of David's new album on Tzadik Records.
“Feast of the Passover” is David’s long-awaited sophomore release, coming out October 27 on John Zorn’s Tzadik Records. FOTP features an all-star cast of some of the best reggae and dub players in the Northeastern United States, including Tommy Benedetti and Mike Keenan from John Brown’s Body, as well as Craig Akira Fujita from Boston’s Pressure Cooker and Joint Chiefs. The album also features critically-acclaimed Romanian saxophone player Yuri Yunakov. In February, David traveled to Jamaica and recorded with the legendary Leonard “Sparrow” Dillon of the Ethiopians. The infamous vocal group The Silvertones joined Dillon and their harmony vocals appear on several songs.
The Temple Rockers are a 9-piece band featuring a three-piece horn section and an authentic reggae and dub sound.
